Atlantian Book of Verse

bardic poetry

While the Poeta Atlantiae has many opportunities to travel the pathways of fair Atlantia and hear many fine Poets' works, he thought it a terrible injustice that others could not also share this privilege.  To rectify this problem, the Poeta will periodically be asking Atlantian poets to share their talents with others via this website. Poems appearing here may be composed for the site, or existing verse written for another occasion. Said poetry can be of any period form, with documentation.

If you have verse you would like to share in this forum, or know of one whose verse you think should be shared here, please contact the Poeta.

If music be the food of love, play on; give me excess of it,
that, surfeiting, the appetite may sicken and so die.

~William Shakespeare, from Twelfth Night (act I, scene I)
