Poeta Atlantiae -
Lord Olivier de Bayone will be holding a competition at Twelfth Night to choose his successor.
Those interested will need to enter two pieces: one will be upon the topic of the Crown;
the other will be upon a topic of the entrant's choosing. If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact him at the email address below. You do not need to be present to enter,
but it would be fantastic if you could be! Lord Olivier encourages anyone interested to give it a shot! Contact Olivier for more information.
Royal Bard -
The competition is open to all storytellers, instrumentalists, and
singers who are willing and able to serve the crown of Atlantia for a
year and a day. The competition will consist of three rounds. The rounds will be open
with no restriction as to the type of piece preformed, however, modern
songs and stories are not appropriate for this competition.
A special note to storytellers: if you have a story that is quite lengthy you may want to consider breaking it up into sections.
The two finalists of the third round will be judged by Their Majesties in a task of their choosing. Please be aware that Their Majesties may choose to have you write and perform a piece on the spot. (Their Majesties may also choose to have you gargle "Fair Lady Atlantia" while standing on one foot and holding a halibut in each hand; it is their prerogative after all.) Contact Sir Justus de Tyre (current Royal Bard) for more information.
Tempore Atlantia -
Poetry Competition. The Renaissance created a new literary explosion across Europe that revitalized interest in preexisting styles
as well as inventing numerous new forms. The only requirement for this competition is that each entry be in a
style or genre used within this specific period. Documentation is required. Contact Olivier de Bayonne for more information.
