And welcome to the Atlantian Poetry's Official web site.  It contains information about poetry contests with a Medieval and Renaissance theme open to those individuals who participate in events and activities throughout the Kingdom of Atlantia in the Society for Creative Anachronism.  It also contains "The On-line Atlantian Book of Verse."  While the primary focus of this web site is on verse, the definition of "poetry" in the SCA period included verse, prose, letter writing, sermons, lyrics, drama, stories, bardic recitation, and other literary endeavors.

The current Poeta Atlantiae is Eſtienne le Mons d'anjou, who won the honor at Ymir!
Eſtienne may be reached via e-mail.

Companho, faray un vers qui*s covinen:
et aura i mais de foudaz no*y a de sen,
et er totz mesclatz d'amor e de joy e de joven.

~William IX, Duke of Aquitaine ( 10th century)

I'm planning, friend, to write a decent verse
with lots of nonsense, very little sense,
with a mix of joy and youth and love besides.
